Tourious is a service operated by KARIBEE TOURS LLP ("we", "us"), a limited liability partnership registered in England & Wales (company number OC459477), registered office 2 Frederick Street, Kings Cross, London, United Kingdom, WC1X 0ND. VAT No. EU372098104. We provide booking software to businesses ("operators"). This policy explains how we handle personal data across two roles: as a data controller for our own account holders, and as a data processor for the booking data operators collect from their customers.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, business details, billing information of operators who sign up.
- Booking data (as processor): guest names, emails and booking details, processed on behalf of the operator who collected them.
- Usage data: log data, device and analytics information to operate and improve the service.
2. How we use data
To provide and secure the service, process subscriptions, provide support, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.
3. Processors & sub-processors
We rely on a small number of trusted infrastructure providers, each acting as a processor under appropriate data-processing terms:
- Stripe — payment processing. Your customers' card payments are processed through your own connected Stripe account; Tourious never holds your funds or stores card numbers.
- Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
- Neon — managed PostgreSQL database hosting (booking and account data).
- Resend — transactional email delivery (confirmations, reminders, recovery and review emails).
Each operator's system runs in its own isolated environment with its own database. A separate Data Processing Agreement is available to operators on request, setting out how Tourious processes guest personal data on the operator's behalf.
4. International transfers & storage
Data is stored on servers within the EU/EEA where possible, with safeguards in place for any transfers.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may access, correct, delete or port your data, and object to certain processing. Operators are responsible for responding to their own customers' requests; we assist as processor.
6. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law.
